We are working on getting this site up and running. We will continue to update it, so check back. We will add directions and a map on how to get to the farm, more photos, and activities as we schedule them. If you have any suggestions for the site or the wedding weekend, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your patience. ED AND ALLEGRA A brief introduction for anyone who hasn't met the bride or the groom: Allegra was born in Ohio, went to high school in Maryland, college in California, lived in Colorado, Washington, and Minnesota, then moved back to Maryland where she rediscovered riding. During these travels, her usual bumper sticker read, "not all who wander are lost." Ed, on the other hand, grew up as the youngest of seven right here in Harford County. With the exception of one summer living in Texas with his brother Dennis where he learned carpentry, he knew from the beginning where he wanted to be - where the horses were! While continuing to work with horses, Ed became a self-made Network Administrator. Allegra, meanwhile, finished her major in Political Science with minors in Peace Studies and Religion. You never know - these topics might be useful for starting a horse farm! Allegra and Ed met through - guess what - a horse connection. They were set up by mutual friends in the horse world. Once they met, it didn't take Allegra and Ed long to realize they had more in common than an obsession with horses. When you put together these two red-heads, (well, strawberry blondes) they make each other laugh, throw lots of parties, make tons of plans, and generally take advantage of all life has to offer! Their goals and dreams have combined beautifully, and we celebrate their marriage, home, and horse farm with them. We wish them many years of happiness - riding, traveling, carpentering, and building their lives together on the farm.
WEDDING SITE Greenwood Manor is not just our home, but our dream come true. A 66 acre horse farm, it's heaven on earth for us and the horses and cats! We are very excited to share the celebration of our marriage with you at our home. Folks have been asking us about attire. We request semi-formal attire: suits and ties for the gentlemen, and dresses (or their equivalent) for the ladies. Now ladies, please keep in mind that the wedding is taking place on grass. We would recommend leaving the spiky high heels at home. If you would like some height, may we suggest the very fashionable wedge shoe? Or, of course, flats are wonderful and prevent the need for those pesky trips to the hospital due to broken ankle.
WEDDING REGISTRY Home Depot, where gift certificates are much appreciated by carpenters.
